Dr. Bhupendra Bimal Chhetri is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kathmandu University, Nepal. With over three decades of academic, research, 

and leadership experience, he has played a significant role in advancing engineering education and research in Nepal. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and earned his Master’s and Doctor of Engineering degrees from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan. His areas of expertise include optical and satellite communications, signal processing, illumination engineering, energy systems, and the broader societal impact of technology. Throughout his career, he has held key academic leadership positions, supervised numerous graduate students, and contributed extensively to research publications and institutional development initiatives
