National Conference on Computer, Electrical,
Electronics and Communication Engineering (KHWOPA CEEL 2026)

24th February 2026 | Bhaktapur, Nepal

Objectives

Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) and Khwopa Engineering College (KhEC) stand as notable engineering institutions in Nepal, established as part of Bhaktapur Municipality’s initiative to foster higher education in the technical field, especially in engineering, for the benefit of local and national development, offering undergraduate programs in different engineering fields.

Building on their experience in organizing events, the institutions have successfully hosted multiple conferences and workshops that underscore their commitment to collaborative knowledge dissemination. For instance, the department of Electrical Engineering (KhCE), department of Computer and Electronics Engineering (KhCE), Department of Computer Engineering ( KhEC) and the department of Electronics, Communications and Automation Engineering (KhEC) have jointly organized the International Conference on Technologies for Computer, Electrical, Electronics & Communications (ICT-CEEL 2023) from October 11-23, 2023, focusing on AI, power systems, renewable energy, and embedded systems, drawing participants from Nepal and abroad. In collaboration with the IEEE Power & Energy Society Nepal Chapter, both colleges co-organized the 4th International Conference on the Role of Energy for Sustainable Social Development (RESSD 2025) on May 29-30, 2025, in Kathmandu, focusing on smart grids and energy efficiency.

As the first national conference dedicated exclusively to Computer, Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering in Nepal, KhCE and KhEC propose to host the Inaugural National Conference on Computer, Electrical, Electronics & Communications (KHWOPA CEEL 2026). This event will serve as a strategic pre-event for the ICT-CEEL 2026, allowing for agenda testing and network building. The primary aim is to unite leading professionals, academicians, and policymakers to address urgent needs for technological advancement in Nepal and beyond while providing a platform for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in academic research, presentation, and publication. This conference seeks to bring together national and international experts from different sectors to discuss recent developments, share research, and explore strategies to improve practical engineering skills.

The conference is guided by the following specific, measurable objectives:

  1. To facilitate interdisciplinary networking, targeting actionable collaborations, such as joint research initiatives or student mentorship programs from the national and international industry-academia ventures.

  2. To gather structured feedback on emerging themes, inform the program for ICT-CEEL 2026, and contribute possible policy briefs to Bhaktapur Municipality for local tech adoption.

  3. To enhance organizational growth by elevating the research profile, fostering faculty development opportunities, and attracting strategic partnerships.
